The story of Sistine didn’t begin once upon a time, but once upon a veritable obsession. Since legal drinking age, founders Lauren Alexander and Kate McLamb favored the Italian wine-based cocktail above all others. And as any fellow devotees of the church of spritz will tell you, not all bubbles are created equal. Apart from the fact that those served stateside so often lack the nuance and seaside views of those served in the Mediterranean, questionable ingredients and imbalanced proportions can quickly turn a highly anticipated sip into something subpar. So the duo decided to do better by their beloved cocktail by reinventing it with the best of local California wine culture as well as a more mindful approach to blending and drinking. And in 2024, Sistine was born.
