A slightly riper nose with aromas of tropical fruit and citrus leads into a tart and wonderfully energetic palate. Some welcome weight and texture balances the bright acidity.

This is our signature take on Sauvignon Blanc -- holistically farmed and naturally fermented in cigar barrels.
The fruit comes from trusted farmers plus a little estate fruit all from the Santa Ynez Valley AVA. The vineyards are in areas that are cooler than average which lets the fruit ripen slowly and more completely while retaining high natural acidity and bright aromatics. We farm with no-till practices which helps communicate minerality as a bonus to the ultimate goal: soil health. Our farming, harvesting and winemaking decisions build a wine that’s both vibrant and layered.
Naturally fermented in a mix of neutral French oak barrels, all elongated cigar barrels that enhance structure with increased lees contact. We employ gentle batonnage in the early stages of the wine’s life. After completion of MLF, the wine is aged sur lie. Some lots this vintage were racked off the gross lees early to preserve aromatics.
Before bottling, the barrels were racked to a stainless steel tank to blend gracefully and tighten up. This wine was bottled without fining and filtration. Minimal effective sulfites added.
