Pepi Umathum is a master of Sankt Laurent and this, his classic style, is a is fresh and lively version for everyday indulgence. Sankt Laurent is thought to be a relation to Pinot Noir (crossed with an unknown native variety). It is high toned with beautiful floral aromatics. The deep purple color comes from thicker skins which promotes slow ripening and increased phenolics. Organically farmed using biodynamic principles. The 2020 has a wonderful ruby color, with notes of blackberries, raspberries, and black pepper and a long mouthwatering finish with fantastic balanced acidity.
